All have a similar process but different emphasis based on style, background and training of the coach.

So, what is coaching?

Coaching is a process designed to assist individuals and organizations in creating and accelerating change and growth.

Coaching empowers people to gain clarity, establish goals and take action by providing tools, structure and encouragement while challenging people to reach and stretch their potential.

How does coaching work?

We begin with foundation work to understand your agenda, clarify values and establish goals. Each week we evaluate progress, address current issues and integrate learning that comes from your previous actions. Practices that I use to keep clients moving forward may include: Inquiries, brainstorming, visioning, mind mapping, planning, accountability, values based decision making and a process of exploring a variety of approaches to engaging in life. Sometimes we make things up based on what the moment requires!

I have an office in Rosendale, which is in the Hudson Valley of New York and soon will be able to see clients in Poultney, Vt. as well.

In addition to single strategy sessions, I am currently offering three different coaching packages with varying levels of intensity and duration.

Point to Creativity also offers classes and workshops in addition to individual coaching and consulting.

What is it like to work with Lisa?

I use a client centered approach, we work together to design what you want from the process. The work I do is based in the belief that you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole and that you are the best expert on your life and will discover the best answers for the choices ahead of you. As your Coach, I have expertise in a process to assist and accelerate this discovery but you are the driver and make decisions about what is best for you. I will hold your agenda so that when you get side tracked, overwhelmed or stuck, I can help you get back on track.

Coaching is not just about "doing". Drill sergeant, I am not. Though committing to action and accountability is important, to be effective the coaching process must involve insight and learning. At times, you may need to take action and get moving and at other times, you may need to pause or slow down in order to gain clarity. There is a rhythm between inward and outward focus as you balance action with the quiet and calm needed to listen, examine and learn.

What are you waiting for?

Lets get started!
